Friendships are being forged and broken and reborn and burned again. And that’s within the first couple of episodes; really within eight pages of the first script.” - Colin Morgan in SFX.

08.20.2010 – The best summer series on the tube to date, the ABC’s The Gates. The Gates is a community of vampires, witches, werewolves, and humans as residents. As one human character said, “It's like high school, only with money”. It is very interesting to watch how the supernatural residents of The Gates attempt to live normal lives like humans. The series is a boiling pot of fur, fangs, and black magic. I love it. There is also a teenage succubus, fighting not only her budding sex drive, but also her growing need to satisfy her steal the life-force from her human boyfriend. It is a great series. Too bad, it is only a summer series. It would nice if it got a regular run. Perhaps we should petition for it to become a regular series. Check out the website. It has full length episodes.
